Subject matter and medium of the quilt blocks:

Cross-stitching, embroidery, hand-piecing, machine quilting or appliqués are what we are looking for on the Ratbones quilt, please--no paint or iron-ons as they don't hold up well.

Ratbones would really like to stick with a Rattie theme since that's what this is for, so please put a Rattie somewhere on your block.

If you'd like to take the time to cross-stitch or embroider your (or someone else's) kennel name onto a block, that is great and certainly fine, but we'd really like to see more than just a name...this is all about the dogs and we think the Ratties should figure prominently in each block.

Now, all that said, hey, we can put whatever dog(s) we want in our blocks...as long as one of them is a Rattie or even an abstract dog...as long as it's Rattie related.

If you'd like to do a beloved pet that has passed on, one that you currently have, one that you have placed, a puppy mill dog, a Ratbone Rescue dog or any other Rattie you'd like to use, feel free. If it's a Rattie, that's fine and it will look great!
